The iPhone 6+ Test Shots

With the introduction of iPhone 6+ and it's optical Image stabilisation, focus pixels and processing power we thought we would put it to the test, in other words we were out and about and we thought 'What the heck'. Being as this is The Mac & Forth Show we couldn't afford to head off to some exotic location so instead we decided to head to Stratford and the Olympic Park and try some comparison shots between the iPhone 6+ and the iPhone 4S (because Karl had already sold his 5S (Ka-ching)). All of these shots were simple point and shoot, nothing has been done to them as we agreed that this is how MOST people will use the camera.

Musings on an iWatch

You would have had to have been living on an unexplored island for the last few months not to have heard the rumours and speculation about Apple possibly producing an iWatch. Of course the rumours have been around for much longer than that but they were never really taken seriously, well, with the exception of a number of rival tech manufacturers who may have caught wind of the idea and rushed a number of products to market just in case Apple did suddenly reveal a new product line.

In the good old days (yes, my good old days probably differ from your good old days, mileage will vary) you simply decided you wanted to purchase a game, you handed over your cash and played the game ad nauseam. It was a simple process with a clearly defined cost. However many games nowadays have plumped for the in-app purchase model. This is usually, although not exclusively, associated with 'free' games.

Apple Buys PrimeSense

Apple has purchased the Israeli company PrimeSense which was the force behind the first Kinect controller from Microsoft. Speculation has already started to mount as to how Apple will integrate motion sensors into future devices.

Towers, Planes... Now Trains!

Like all NimbleBit's games, Pocket Trains is a freebie, there are some in app purchase options but we'll come to those later. The (mandatory) intro tutorial is a nice feature; you start with a couple of trains, a stretch of line in Europe and a few 'Bux'. The tutorial will show you the ropes that you'll be going through until you're bored of the game.
